The method for evaluating students' ability of problem solving in science was developed. The focus of this method was to assess scientific thinking. In order to accomplish the purpose, we analyzed the course of study, to evaluate standard of scientific thinking from the third grader to the sixth grader in an elementary school. Then the results of analysis of the guideline were diagramed to clarify the structure. Based on the diagram, we created worksheet which can show us the process of scientific thinking of a child.
