Area-based handicraft classes, known as a "Children Meister Class." were planned and held to stem aversion to science. This paper describes a manufacturing method of a handmade model car with a dc micro-motor and materials at hand. Also, the relationship between the car's velocity and the diameter of the pulley in the handmade model car was investigated. The results of this experiment showed that the optimum pulley diameter for the walking speed of a child to be 25 mm.
