Light-leakage type photocatalytic optical fiber was fabricated by a salt catalyzed sol-gel process. The fiber was bundled into a plastic tube to fabricate a bundle type reactor. Light flux from 150 w Xe lamp was focused on an edge of the bundle. Aqueous solution of methylene blue, a model waste solution, was flowed counter-currently against the light flux. The reactor was also effective to crysoidine, but not to rhodamine B and crystal violet.
