The impact characteristics of FRP are important for structures and other applications. In this work, a CFRP pole was used to study the effect of fiber orientation on the torsional strain wave rate. A method of forecasting torsional strain wave characteristic was subsequently suggested. An experiment was conducted to verify the theory and this calculation method.
