HDPE/PE elastomer/organic clay nano composites, that contains only 0.1 to 5 wt% of clay, was prepared by using gelled polyethylene. Drawability and mechanical properties of the composite has been investigated. HDPE/PE elastomer/Organic clay nano composites that contains 5 wt% of clay could not be drawn, while composites that contains in the range of 0.1 to 0.5 wt% of clay could be drawn. In the range of 0.05 wt% to 0.2 wt% of clay content, the strength of the drawn composites increased with a drawing. Drawability-clay content curve had a maximum in 0.2 wt% of clay content. When used HDPE of Mw = 50× 104 as matrix, the maximum drawability of the conmposite indicated 22 in the drawing temperature of 80℃, the maximum strength reached 750 MPa in the room temperature.
