vasica，Plectocomia himalayana，Pogostemon amaranthoides，Asparagus racemosa，Phytolocca acinosa，Houttuynia cordataおよびElatostema lineolatumはブータンにおいて食用植物としての比較的使用頻度が高い植物種であった。今回，東ブータンにおいて利用が明らかになった食用野生植物の中には健康効果が信じられているものがあり，Elatostema lineolatum，Mentha sp.，Oenanthe javanicaおよびParis polyphyllaは血液に良い効果があるとされ，Fagopyrum cymosumおよびMentha sp.は皮膚病に良いと信じられていた。また，Mentha sp.はこの他に喘息，咳，風邪にも良いとされ，さらに，Thlaspi arvenseは結核に良いと信じられていた。シダ植物のBotrychium sp.に関しては食用すると長寿に結びつくと信じられていた。逆に，Amaranthus lividus，Amaranthus spinosusおよびCommelina benghalensisは尿に問題があるときは食べてはいけない，Adhatoda
