"黒ぼく土壤に，無カリ区，珪酸カリ少量区，同中量区，同多量区，塩化カリ少量区，同中量区，及び同多量区の７試験区を設けて，リンゴ「ふじ」/M26を植え，７年間にわたって樹体生育，果実収量及び果実品質を調査した。得られた結果は次のとおりであった。　１．樹体生育は，塩化カリ少量区が最も旺盛で，新梢はやや徒長気味であった。その反対に，無カリ区，珪酸カリ多量区及び塩化カリ多量区は生育がやや劣った。　２．実験開始後４年目の掘上げ調査の結果，珪酸カリ施用区は塩化カリ施用区に比べて根の生育が良好であった。　３．花芽形成数は珪酸カリ施用区が多く，無カリ区，塩化カリ少・中量区がやや少なかった。果実収量は，1991年までは珪酸カリ施用区がやや多かったが，1993年は塩化カリ少・中量区がやや多かった。　４．無カリ区の果実は，小さく，果汁の糖度及び酸含量がやや低かった，珪酸カリ施用区の果実は塩化カリ施用区のものに比べて，着色がやや濃厚であり，糖度がやや高い傾向が認められた。塩化カリ多量区の果実は，とくに酸含量が高かった。　５．葉分析の結果，無カリ区のカリウム含量，及び塩化カリ多量区のマグネシウム含量が著しく低かった。土壤分析の結果，珪酸カリ施用区は塩化カリ施用区に比べて，pHがやや高く，有効態リン酸，陽イオン交換容量及び交換性塩基の含量がやや高い傾向が認められた。",
