"野生アカネズミのケージ環境に対する反応およびオープンフィールドでの行動を調べた。用いたアカネズミは1988年４月から11月までに本学部近辺，中央アルプス山麓で捕獲された雄37匹および雌37匹である。捕獲後３日間にわたり，飼料および水，巣材，および回転輪が別々に設置されている三連ケージで飼育し，その間の採食行動および一般活動リズムなどを調べた。また，その後２日間，オープンフィールドでの行動を調べた。　得られた主な結果は次の通りである。1)　採食量は２日目に増加し，３日目でも２日目と変わらなかった。2)　回転輪行動による日周リズムは１日目は不規則であったが，２日目または３日目になると暗期に活動が集中し，安定したリズムを呈した。3)　オープンフィールド活動量は雄の場合は雌より，２日間とも大であったが，雌雄とも１日目から，２日目にかけて大きく減少した。　これらの結果から野生アカネズミは捕獲後，雌雄とも，２日または３日で人為的環境に順応するものと考えた。",
