 note = {木曾馬の新生仔3頭を用いて，吸乳行動について観察を行なった。30日齢の吸乳行動を24時聞観察した結果，昼夜問わず比較的規則正しく行われていた。その結果に基づいて，生後5，10，30，60，90日齢の吸乳行動について12時間観察を行なった。その結果，平均吸乳回数は1時間当り2.4回，平均吸乳時間は1時間当り平均58秒であった。吸乳時間については日齢と共に変化はみられなかった。吸乳回数は5日齢で3.6回/時間，30日齢で2.3回/時間と少し減少がみられ，30日齢以降はあまり変化がみられなかった。, The suckling behavior of Kiso horses was examined using 3 foals (Fig. 1). At first the suckling behavior at 30 days after birth was observed for 24 hours (Table 1). The foals sucked the breasts of their mares night and day relatively regularly. The suckling behavior at 5, 10, 30, 60 and 90 days after birth were then observed for 12 hours. The mean suckling frequency was 2.3 times/hr (Table 2) and the mean suckling time was 57.6 seconds/hr (Table 4). The suckling time did not vary with age (Table 3).
