Sugars in corn kernels were investigated. The following results were obtained. (1) Sweet corn kernels examined in this investigation contained sucrose as the major sugar, amounting to 73.9 % of total free sugars, 15.3 % of fructose, 10.2 of glucose and small amount of raffinose.
