| 内容記述 | The aim of this study was to make clear the mutual relation between the forest experience and the forest consciousness of the regional residents. The survey of the forest consciousness and the forest experience were carried out by mailed questionnaire. The mailed questionnaire was directed to sample taken from the whole population of all survey regions. The survey regions are the following 13 regions: Nagano-shi, Matsumoto-shi, Suwa-shi, Ina-shi, Tobu-cho, Karuizawa-cho, Agematsu-cho, Hakuba-mura, Nozawaonsenmura, Kawakami-mura, Sakae-mura, Tenryu-mura and Nagawa-mura. Through the study in Nagano prefecture, we found that the consciousness of regional residents for forest environment consists of the regional consciousness, which are heterogeneous in each survey region, and the common consciousness, which are homogeneous throughout all survey regions. And we found that the regional consciousness are "wood production" and "conservation of nature" as the expectation for forest, "mushroon gathering" and "hiking" as forms of recreation in forest, "erosion controll" and "free from anxiety" as the expectation for conservation of living environment, "small birds" as the forest image, "water stream" and "growth of trees" as the forest fascination, "increasing of forest for wood production" and "using of forest for tourism" for forest in future. We pointed out that the forest consciousness is divided into two kinds: the concrete and traditional forest consciousness and the sentimental and sensible forest consciousness. The former implies the consciousness of "wood production" "mushroom gathering", "erosion controll", "growth of trees" and "increasing of forest for wood production". The latter implies the consciousness of "conservation of nature", "hiking", "free from anxiety", "small birds" and "water stream". We picked up following forest experience in this study. 1) As the quantity of forest experience: "rarelly going to forest", "sometimes going to forest" and "frequently going to forest". 2) As the quality of forest experience: "going to forest for work", "going to forest for recreation", "having experienced deforestation or afforestation", "having experienced weeding or pruning" and "not having experienced silvicultural works". 3) As the possession of forest: "having private forest" and "not having forest". From the analysis of consciousness of regional residents for forest environment, we can point out as follows: As for the relation between forest experience and forest consciousness, the concrete and traditional forest consciousness is influential where many people "go to forest for work", "have experienced silvicultural works" and "have private forest". On the other hand, the sentimental and sensible forest consciousness is influential where many people "go to forest for recreation", "haven't experienced silvicultural works" and "don't have forest". | |||||||||
