Occurrence of burn, osmotic pressure, stomatal behavior, and drought avoidance of leaves of Bartlett pear cultured in the large size pots were investigated under different soil moisture conditions. 2. Up to middle August, the higher the soil moisture, the higher the percentage of leaf burn was. After late August, however, the percentage of leaf burn was higher in low soil moisture conditions than in wet conditions. Finally, the difference in total percentage of leaf burn was not observed among the soil moisture conditions. 3. As the increase of soil moisture level, the osmotic pressure of leaves decreased, the stomatal moving was slow, and the drought avoidance of leaves reduced. 4. Under dry weather conditions, the change of soil moisture from wet conditions to dry made to increase the percentage of leaf burn. But under wet and cool conditions, leaf burn did not occur regardless of any change of soil moisture conditions., Article, 信州大学農学部紀要 20(1): 1-8(1983)}, pages = {1--8}, title = {土壌湿度がナシの葉やけ発生に及ぼす影響}, volume = {20}, year = {1983} }
