Wasedaruma. Furthermore, pollination at development stages of stigma was measured as influence of the fruit characters. 1. The fertilization capacity of stigma existed in the period from the 3 day before flowering to the 5 day after flowering, especially, total 6 days from the 2 day before flowering to the 3 day was more susceptible. 2. Coefficient of pollen germination became the highest at dehiscence of anther, and it decreased there-after. However, when petal died out, the coefficient decreased slightly 10 per cent. 3. Weight of pollinated fruit from flowering to the 3 day after flowering was 70-90 gr. as well as the control. The fruit bearing at young stage of stigma was generally smaller. 4. The number of seeds which was obtained from the fruits pollinated at flowering time and the day after flowering were approximately 170 as control, on the other hand, the fruits pollinated at other stigma stages contained less seed. 5.
