The results obtained were as follows: 1. Both anaerobes did not grow in surface culture, produced gas and undesirable odor, formed endospores, and also were gram-positive catalase-negative rods. Therefore, it would be considered that these rods belonged to the genus clostridium. 2. The pH values in microbial broth cultures of both anaerobes were slightly lower than those in media, but pH values in inoculated herbage cultures of both anaerobes were higher than in sterile herbage. 3. While anaerobe (I) produced a large amount of butyric acid in RCM cultures, they produced a fairly amount of acetic and butyric acids in sterile herbage cultures. 4. The microbial MEM cultures of anaerobe (II) contained small amounts of butyric acids, but large amount of butanol appeared in same cultures., Article, 信州大学農学部紀要 17(1): 25-32(1980)}, pages = {25--32}, title = {サイレージより分離した嫌気性芽胞菌の代謝について}, volume = {17}, year = {1980} }
