Development Project. The field irrigation system does not be built up to the present time. By introducing the field irrigation system, it is possible to relax the restriction of water use which makes to become narrower the farmer's choice of crops. But, it's possibility must be difined by the many conditions of agricultural structures. In this paper, as a clue to elucidate its possibility, we examined on the relationship between the agricultural internal condition of farm-household, i. e. , scale of management, labor and capital, and the farmer's choice of crops, which is introducing under the restriction of water use. Habiro-Buraku, Ina-city which composed of a lot of dry field crops was chosen and were examined on 92 farm-households. Agricultural management of each farm-household is divided into 3 categories according to the letting and hiring or farmland: (1) Farm-household which farmland was leased to reduce the scale of management, (2) Farm-household which farmland was leased to increase the scale of management, (3) Farm-household which did not change the scale of management. Under the restriciton of water use, the crops were choosen being satisfied with the condition previously mentioned. The farm-household of category (1) chooses the extensive crops such as rice, wheat and so forth. On the other hand, that of category (2) chooses the intensive crops such as vegetables. It may possibly be seen that the degree of utility of field irrigation differs in various categories., Article, 信州大学農学部紀要 17(2): 129-152(1980)}, pages = {129--152}, title = {伊那西部農業開発事業に関する事例的研究(IV)―伊那羽広地区における作目選択と水利用の実態―}, volume = {17}, year = {1980} }
