As a result of this, the sprouting of buds on sprayed branches was significantly promoted. 2. In the winter of 1976 to 1977, coating with the single or mixed solutions of lime nitrogen, thiourea, potassium nitrate, and Merit that is a commercial foliar fertilizer on the buds of 'Fuji' apple, 'Bartlett' pear and 'Kyoho' grape brought about a significant promotion of sprouting only in the buds coated with the solution contained lime nitrogen. 3. In the same season, spraying of the above-mentioned solutions on the potted trees of 'Fuji' apple and 'Bartlett' pear brought about a significant promotion of the sprouting of buds and the growth of new shoots only in the trees sprayed with the solutions contained lime nitrogen. 4. In the winter of 1977 to 1978, the leaching solutions of 10, 20 and 30 per cent of lime nitrogen were coated on the buds of 'Fuji' apple. As a result of this, the solutions of 20 and 30 per cent were more effective than that of 10 per cent to the flower buds, and to the leaf buds, the 30 per cent solution was the most effective. An addition of spreader increased slightly the effectiveness of lime nitrogen. 5. The effect of rest-breaking by lime nitrogen was high when the rest of buds was slightly shallow after a short chilling period in the all fruit species. 6. The effect of rest-breaking by lime nitrogen on 'Fuji' apple, 'Bartlett' pear, 'Kanto No.2' peach and 'Kyoho' grape were equivalent to about 50 to 60, 20 to 30, 50 and 60 to 65 per cent of the accumulated hours below 7.2℃, respectively, and also equivalent to 25 to 35, 5 to 10, 15 and 35 to 40 per cent of Richardson's accumulated chilling units, respectively, required to the rest-breaking of buds of each fruit species., Article, 信州大学農学部紀要 15(1): 1-18(1978)}, pages = {1--18}, title = {薬剤処理による落葉果樹の休眠打破に関する研究}, volume = {15}, year = {1978} }
