In this experiment, cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. ), pea (Pisum sativum L. ), kidney bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.), tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Miller), japanese mulberry (Morus bombycis Koidzumi), nozawana (Brassica raga L. cv. nozawana) and radish (Raphanus sativus L.) were used as plant materials. From the results of increasing or decreasing of height of integral attenuance spectrum of intact leaf, chlorophyll content, dry weight of plant and properties of chloroplast suspension, it was presumed that the reaction of plant sprayed with soil dust was variously different. In plant materials used, tomato and cucumber were weak to changes of their physiological properties, and pea and kidney bean were middle. Radish and nozawana were tolerant, and mulberry was strongly tolerant. These different reactions in plants were concluded by measuring dry weight of plant adhered with soil dust. The effect of soil dust adhering periods to plant surfaces was investigated. Decreasing of dry weight of above ground parts appeared to nozawana, which was delayed the recovery of growth 2 weeks after removing soil dust from leaves. Increasing weight of root of radish was lowered with prolonged periods of soil dust adhesion.
