Results obtained were summarized as follows : 1. Activity of the trypsin inhibitor was detected in the filtrate from the cultures incubated for 8 to 72 hrs and maximally occured in 48 hrs. 2. Activities of both intra- and extra-cellular proteases were recognized in the cultures incubated for 8 to 24 hrs and more than 72 hrs, and not detected in 48 hrs, when the activity of the inhibitor reached maximum. 3. The extra-cellular protease prepared from 12 hr's culture principally consisted of a neutral metal protease, and that prepared from 168 hr's culture consisted of an alkalline serine protease. The intra-cellular protease produced throughout the incubation period principally consisted of an alkalline serine protease. 4. The trypsin inhibitor did not inhibit the proteases produced.
