In this report they tried to study a scenic amelioration planning about MIWA Dam and KOSHIBU Dam in NAGANO Prefecture, from the view points above mentioned. The report consists of eight chapters. Chapter I contains an introductory description of the site, such as a short history of the dams and lakes they are studying, and the stage of erosion on the site etc. Chapter II consists of meteorological analysis of the areas covering these two dams and lakes. Severe rainfalls, carried by typhoon or bai-u fronts in Japan, caused repeated landslides or Inudflows along the river, which would scrape the mountainsides and carried away river-bed deposits. Chapter III consists of flora analysis around two dams and lakes. Chapter III : a top ographycal analysis of the areas. Chapter V consits of geologic analysis of the areas. MIWA Dam situates just on the Median tectonic line, that is a great fault line dividing southwest Japan into two zone (northern & southern), while KOSHIBU Dam situates on the plain granite strata. Chapter VI : soil characteristics of this areas. In chapter VII the authors sought technical key points to be necessary for the scenic amelioration of dam and lake, such as for vegetation recovery, soil conservation, treatment of damsite and lake-shore, and for facilities of recreation activities. and in Chapter VIII they showed an outline of planning they will follow in the succeeding course of experiments of scenic amelioration which would be published in the next report., Article, 信州大学農学部紀要 14(2): 203-240(1977)}, pages = {203--240}, title = {ダム周辺の復元力に関する研究(第1報)}, volume = {14}, year = {1977} }
