The results obtained were as follows: 1. The movements of the uterus could be classified approximately into various kinds of types, namely, peristalsis, rotation, pendulum, segment and transition. Among these types of movement, the peristalsis was predominant. 2. The frequency of the peristalsis was considerably increased at the time of injection of H C G. Up to 6 hrs. it showed an increasing tendency. The highest peak was observed after 9 hrs. after the jnjection. Approximately this value was maintained until 10 hrs. after the injection of H C G. 3. This rapid increase of the peristalsis at the time of the injection of H C G can be considered as a specific phenomenon which is not observed at the time of copulation. There was a positive significant correlation between the increasing diameter of the ovarian follicle and the increasing tendency of the frequency of the peristalsis, observed from one hour later. 4. As in the case after copulation the peristalsis after the injection of H C G mainly began both at the upper end and the lower end of the uterus, and each contraction wave advanced toward the opposite end. 5. The rapid increase of the frequency of the downward waves immediately after the injection of H C G caused its value to be higher than that of the upward waves, but afterwards the upward waves were observed to surpass the downward waves in their frequency., Article, 信州大学農学部紀要 5(2): 112-122(1968)}, pages = {112--122}, title = {家兎の子宮運動に関する研究 第3報 HCG注射による排卵前の子宮運動}, volume = {5}, year = {1968} }
