The experiments were determined for egg production, color difference and preference of egg yolk for each diets fed hens egg. The results obtained were as follows. 1) The live weight and egg production were decreased by the addition of cuttle fish oil to the basal ration. The addition of 0.1 to 0.2 IU of vitamin E to the cuttle fish oil diets daily recovered the decreasing of live weight and egg production. Hens showed "Seborrhea" by the cuttle fish oil diets. 2) The brown discoloration of egg yolk with the addition of cuttlefish oil were observed by the method of Hunters color and color difference experiments. The addition of vitamin E to the cuttlefish oil diets prevented the brown discoloration of egg yolk. 3) The preference of the egg yolk were reduced by the addition of cuttle fish oil to the diets. The addition of vitamin E to the cuttle fish oil diets prevented the deterioration of preference of egg yolk. Hens ingested cuttle fish oil produced abnormal eggs. The abnormality appeared in the color and deteriolized preference of egg yolk. The addition of vitamin E to the cuttle fish oil diets reduced the production of abnormal egg. The evidence thus obtained supports the suggestion that the prevention effects of vitamin E on the oxidation of fatty acids of fish oil in egg production., Article, 信州大学農学部紀要 4(2): 165-172(1967)}, pages = {165--172}, title = {魚油,vitaminE添加飼料の鶏卵品質への影響 I 産卵および卵黄の風味,色調について}, volume = {4}, year = {1967} }
