On the material for study, author used the soil in cut-over area from 1927 to 1947, and the soil of wooded area in order to comparison, which is collected in natural forest of chamaecyparis obtusa S. el Z. in Kiso area. 3. It was clearly observed that in F and H layers tend to most abundance of ether and alcohol extract, water and hot water extract, hemicellulose, cellulose and protein despite sectional exceptions, and in case of clear cutting were held, they decrease up to 8~13 years if it leaves to chance after cleared. Where passed into 13 years, they increase convrsely. A horizon shows the inverse relation to H and F layers; in this layers writer found a increase in them up to some years and a decrease thereafter again. 4. The accumulated substances amassed for a long time in natural forest, of chamaecyparis oblusq S. el Z. begin to decomposition rapidly by clear cutting. The influence of this maintains strongly up to 8~13 years in spite of planting are held in this area, and promote decomposition of onganic matter in F and H layers and saturate the organic matter and nitrogeneus source to A horizon. From thease results the anthor concluded that it is not always dislike treatment to allow for moderate sparseness exclusive of the clear cuttiug., Article, 信州大学農学部学術報告 4: 41-44(1955)}, pages = {41--44}, title = {天然林の施業に関する研究(第一報):ヒノキ天然生林皆伐による土壤の化学的性質の變化について}, volume = {4}, year = {1955} }
