The survey regions are the following 13 regions: Nagano-shi, Matsumoto-shi, Suwa-shi, Ina-shi, Tobu-cho, Karuizawa-cho, Agematsu-cho, Hakuba-mura, Nozawaonsen-mura, Kawakami-mura,Sakae-mura, Tenryu-mura and Nagawa-mura. The survey of the forest consciousness were carried out by mailed questionnaire. The mailed questionnaire was directed to samples taken from the whole population of all survey regions. Through the study in Nagano prefecture, we found that the consciousness of regional residents parallelly consists of homogeneous consciousness through out all survey regions and heterogeneous consciousness in each survey region, and that the regional consciousness are the expectations for wood production and conservation of nature, the forest recreation intended to mushroom picking and hiking, the conservation of life environment by means of erosion control and free from anxiety, the forest images connected with small birds and the forest fascinations for water stream and growth of trees. And then we found that the expectation for conservation of nature, the forest recreation intended to hiking, the conservation of life environment by means of free from anxiety are shown higher value in proportion to the decrease in the forest density and the increase in the population density, and that the expectation for wood production, the forest recreation intended to mushroom picking, the forest fascination for growth of trees are shown higher value in proportion to the decrease in the population density and the increase in the forest density., Article, 信州大学農学部演習林報告 22: 1-8(1985)}, pages = {1--8}, title = {森林環境に対する住民意識(II) : 森林環境と森林意識}, volume = {22}, year = {1985} }
