Kiso-hinoki, producing natural timbers in the Kiso mountain range, are famous good quality of timbers in Japan. After World War II, in Kiso district the Kiso-hinoki lumber allied industries came to stay in earnest, and until the first oil crisis in 1973 they developed satisfactorily. But, since the second oil crisis in 1979 they were gradually driven into managerial difficulties. At the same time, the problems of the exhaustion and the deterioration of Kiso-hinoki resources put in appearance. Under these circumstance, they are facing many serious problems of Kiso-hinoki. The main problems are as follows: First, the resources of Kiso-hinoki have been reducing. Due to the reduction of its resources, the managers of Kiso-hinoki lumber allied industries in Kiso district are pursued by their future uneasiness. Therefore, man-made hinoki, succeeding trees of Kiso-hinoki, must be immediately nurtured by peoples of Kiso district. Second, the demand for Kiso-hinoki lumber not only decrease but also those prices hover around low level. Third, the distributional channels of Kiso-hinoki are confused by the present depression of lumber business. Fourth, in order to settle many problems of Kiso-hinoki, the persons who are concerned about Kiso-hinoki in Kiso district have to organize their actual cooperative works., Article, 信州大学農学部演習林報告 22: 9-36(1985)}, pages = {9--36}, title = {木曽ヒノキの流通構造と流通問題}, volume = {22}, year = {1985} }
