The results obtainned were summarized as follows. (1) The monorail method seems to be more easy to use as a forest machinary, so that, it will be expected high effective as one of the best method of timber transportation. (2) Further, a merit for this method is that assembling and dissecting of the rail seems to be more easy. So, it may be suitable for general run of people. Maximum amount of work in a group of three people within a day for laying down or removing off the rail should be about 40m or about 100m, respectively. (3) Moreover, maximum amount of work in a group of three people within a day for logging should be about 14~15m3. (4) Rate of cost by the monorail method against the total logging cost is about 30%. (5) It may be more effective for logging on the steep montainous slope that the skid way was set up on the slope in advance., Article, 信州大学農学部演習林報告 16: 17-37(1979)}, pages = {17--37}, title = {モノレールによる間伐材搬出実験の成果}, volume = {16}, year = {1979} }
