The Samondake Unit in the Neo-Izumi area is divided into the Subunit A and Subunit B on the basis of features in lithology, structure and deformation. The Subunit A is situated structurally higher than the Subunit B, and they are in fault contact each other. Radiolarian age of the Samondake Unit ranges from Middle Triassic to middle Middle Jurassic time. However middle Middle Jurassic radiolarians which characterize the Tricolocapsa plicarum zone (Matsuoka, 1995) are obtained from siliceous mudstone and mudstone of both Subunit A and B, early Middle Jurassic radiolarians which characterize the Laxtorum(?) jurassicum zone are obtained from only some siliceous mudstone of the Subunit A. Both Subunit A and B are considered to have been formed in the subduction accretion process on the basis of the ages and structural relationship of the two units., Article, 信州大学理学部紀要 33(1): 27-63(1998)}, pages = {27--63}, title = {美濃帯根尾―和泉地域の左門岳ユニットから産出したトリアス紀およびジュラ紀の放散虫化石群集}, volume = {33}, year = {1998} }
