On the δ13C versus δ1x O diagram, these carbonatites are plotted slightly above or within the inferred mantle field indicating that the samples studied have not suffered surface alteration. Initial Sr and Nd isotopic compositions of each carbonatite sample were calculated using measured Sr and Nd isotopic ratios, Rb/Sr and Sm/Nd ratios and published age data. Initial x w Sr/x v Sr ratios are in the range from 0.7030 to 0.7034; the values correspond to from -12.6 to -5.6 in the ε notation. Initial 1t 3Nd/1t t Nd ratios are in the range from 0.5120 to 0.5123. εNd values are from +2.0 to +2.9. The carbonatites are characterized by negative εSr and positive εNd values. This indicates that the carbonatites were derived from the source material depleted in the incompatible elements such as Rb and light REE. εSr and εNd values of the carbonatites are compared with those of modern ocean-island basalts. The carbonatites are plotted between the field of St. Helena island and that of Walvis ridge on the eSr versus eNd diagram. The present isotopic data are consistent with the current view that carbonatites are similar in Sr and Nd isotopic characteristics to the alkali basalts from some ocean islands., Article, 信州大学理学部紀要 27(1): 23-35(1992)}, pages = {23--35}, title = {バルチック盾状地のカーボナタイトのSr, Nd, C, O同位体比}, volume = {27}, year = {1992} }
