Therefore it effectively eliminated the entertainment aspect of Shinshu University's \"You-Yu Saturday project\" established in 1994 (Heisei 6). The first objective of this farm is to establish a foundation for developing students' practical leadership ability, including communicative competence, project-making skills, and other qualities requisite for school teachers, by having them do farm work with children. This farm now functions as a place for life-long study (continuing education) in collaboration with JA (Japan Agriculture) in Nagano, farmers in Mosuge in Nagano City\" children's parents and university professors.
