The net of S. marmorata larvae is divided two parts, one is a nest where the larvae lives, and the other is feeding net which filter the river water and collected the particulate organic matter (POM). In this study, we investigated the POM composition of the river water, On the feeding net and in the digestive tract of S. marmorata larvae. As a result, there were many algal POM in the river water and digestive tract, but there were many particles which originated from animal or plant parts on the feeding net in the rapid velocity of current.
