Although inks containing various dyes have been widely developed, those including discharging agents have not been prepared yet. In the present study, to develop ink-jet discharging procedure, the discharging mechanism of reactive dyes is investigated fundamentally. The reductant discharging of the reactive dyes in aqueous solutions was monitored by means of visible absorption spectroscopy. The catalytic effects of some surfactants on the reductive reaction were also investigated.
