Nanocarbon materials investigated in the present study were single-wailed carbon nanotube (SWⅣTs) for electrodes of secondary lithium cells, and microporous carbons (MPC) for electric double layer capacitor (EDLC). Structure controlled SWNTs showed eversible lithium ion storage capacity more than 800 mAh/g which is more than twice as much as that of graphite electrode.
