内容記述 We have already studied that polyelectrolyte complex (PEC) composed of polysaccarides could control function of several cells. In this study, functional control of chondrocyte (ATDC5) in vitro was discussed by measuring cell morphology, cell growth and cell differentiation on PEC coating dishes. The cell on PEC coating dishes containing carboxyl groups formed cell aggregate, and the production of cartilage matrix and typeII collagen of ATDC5 were promoted. Therefore, the PEC seemed to be useful as a functional culture material of a chondrocyte.
