However, N,N-Dialkyl-imidazolidinetriones underwent intermolecular hydrogen abstraction on irradiation in cyclohexane in spite of the fact that they prossess y-hydrogens. This finding indicates that the intermolecular hydrogen abstraction is extremely fast. The Stem-Volmer plot for the photoreaction in cyclohexane indicated that the rate constant was 3.1 x 108 lmor-1s-1.
