It is based on fluorescence quenching. The quenching ratio and lifetime of fluorescence are proportional to chemical quantity. We have fabricated a microscopic luminous probe by using various luminescence materials. We have clarified various characteristics of these probe and application to chemical examination. Moreover, the fiber optic thermometer probe using chromium doped spinel crystal, MgAl2O4 : Cr3+, and ruby crystal, Al2O4 : Cr3+, are fabricated. The lifetime of spinel and ruby crystal decrease with temperature. Lifetime and temperature coefficients of the spinel crystals were about 3 times larger than that of the ruby crystals., Article, 先進ファイバー工学研究教育拠点研究成果報告書 10: 99-99(2004)}, title = {15-4-3 :ファイバオプティクスによる化学量センサとセンシングシステムの開発}, year = {2004} }
