It was confirmed that the new surface layer acted as adhesive layer between the fiber and PE. Mechanical properties of PP fiber/PE composite constructed using fibers have been measured. Relationship between the mechanical properties and surface-treated conditions was investigated. It has been clarified that PE fiber/HDPE composites show the mechanical properties in which the properties of the PE fiber is reflected, and the strength and modulus of the composite are almost the same as those of GFRP.
