"従来より，学習教材は印刷メディアによる提供が一般的であったが，これに加え近年ではe-Learningに代表されるハイパーメディアを利用した学習教材が注目されている。しかし，現在のところ，論文をそのままデジタル化しただけのものや，リンクやアニメーションなどハイパーメディアの機能が無秩序に組み込まれたものが多く，ハイパーメディアの特性を有効利用し，学習に効果的なe-Learningコンテンツはあまり見られない。この傾向は特に自学自習用の学習教材において著しい。その原因は，コンテンツ作成者のハイパーメディア特性に対する理解不足と自学自習環境への配慮不足によると考えられる。本研究ではハイパーメディアが持つ特性を構造的に示し，自学自習用のe-Learningコンテンツ作成において考慮すべきハイパーメディアの特性を明らかにした。その結果，個人が迷わず操作可能なメニューやナビゲータを充実させたインターフェースと画像や動画などの大量の情報を効果的に理解・記憶させる呈示方法が特に必要であると考えられる。本研究では，それらを可能にする手法の一つとして認知心理学的アプローチを利用したコンテソツを提案した。",
