"信州大学留学生センターでは1999年10月より日本語研修コースをスタートしたが、コースを改善していくためには、修了生の追跡調査を行い、その置かれている状況を知ってニーズを把握することが必要である。本調査では、研修コースを修了した非漢字圏の中級レベルの学習者へのインタビューを実施し、現在置かれている状況とその問題点を調査した。その結果、生活言語に特に支障のない中級学習者の、専門領域での日本語能力の不足が、学習や研究に困難をもたらしている例が明らかにされた。特に非漢字圏から来たために、漢字や語彙の知識の不足から困難を感じている様子がうかがえた。",
