Moreover, a numerical simulation model was constructed in order to suggest some improvement measures for water bodies based on the research. We have obtained the following results: 1) The inflow load was estimated by using a ratio method, and it became clear that the main inflow load was occupied by the industrial load. The estimation indicated it was from 66% to 81% of all inflow loads. 2) We obtain annual water quality data and certain parameters needed for the construction of modeling. 3) The pollution mechanism and estimated the inflow load in Saguling Reservoir become evident according to the result of the field survey. 4) A two-dimensional multi-layer model was constructed. Then, the vertical distribution of DO concentration was calculated.
