で人工気象室を用いて、海抜Om,2,300mおよび4,500mの陽圧および、低圧暴露負荷を行った時の肺循環動態の変化を検討した。チベットヒツジは中国青海省の高原に生息する7頭を用い、対象動物として、同地に伺育しているブタ(5頭)を用いた。主な測定項目は体重(BW)、体血圧(Psa)、肺動脈圧(ppa)、ヘマトクリット(Ht)、左心室重量(LVW)、右心室重量(RVW)および血液のガス分析である。その結果、以下のことが明らかとなった。1)チベットヒツジはブタと比較して、Ht、右心室肥大(RVW/LVW)が有意に低く、酸素消費量(V02)も有意な低値を示した。2)動物を海抜Om、2300m、および4500m相当の環境に暴露すると、ppaは両種とも海抜の上昇にともなって有意に上昇するが、その上昇の度合いはチベットヒツジのほうが有意に小さい。3) 右心室負荷の度合いを示すppa/Psaも両種とも海抜の上昇にともなって上昇するが、その上昇の程度はチベットヒツジのほうが小さい。以上の結果から、チベットヒツジはブタより町、RVW/LVWが小さく、また低酸素性肺血管収縮現象(hypoxic pulmonary vas∞。nstriction,HPV)
