The bed, including weathered and unweathered zones,w as found during the field survey for new outcrop. From the measurements of pH and chemical compositions of weathered and unweathered zones,th e weathering process of sediment was found to be influenced by sulfuric acid which the oxidation of pyrite led to. The remarkable alteration of chlorite and montomorillonite in the weathered zone was observed of all clay minerals that had been found in the unweathered zone. The stability of monmorillonite to acid suggested that an isomorphous substitution of montmorillonite occurred prior to destruction of the crystal structure., Article, 環境科学年報12:78-85(1990)}, title = {上田地方に見出された酸性硫酸塩堆積物の生成過程と粘土鉱物組成との関係}, year = {1990} }
