It has engaged the sister city agreement with Matsumoto City from 1958. Salt Lake City is the Utah State Capital and has 163,000 populations in 1980. It has very fine landscape with well designed construction of urban areas. Themcorporatedarea of theSaltLake City cosists of following seven communities, Capitol Hill,N orthwest,W estside,A venues,C entral City,E ast Bench and Sugar House. Each of the seven communities have their own Master Plans respectively. Those Community Master Plans were prepared by updating and expanding the 1967 Salt Lake City Master Plan. In the Salt Lake City Urban Planning,t he Land Use Plan incorporates nine land use classifications. Among them,L and Use Regulations for Residential Areas have primary significance.
