The 1st is the Iiving habitat，th e 2nd is the interstitial ，and intravascular f1uids，a nd the 3rd is the cel1 plasma. Usual1y，th e environment surrounds the body，b ut some parts of the body with sxternal characters exist like an inletor bay and a lake in the land. The environment pollution is caused by careless dispersion of dirty organic materials and destroyed substances. In Japan，a popular saying Devils out，an d lucky gods in is shouted at the time of bean-scattering ceremony. This unconsciously nurtures the lack of public spiri t. It implies that only the cleanl iness of the area under the one's own contrul should be regarded and that of the area under the other's control may be ignored. From the communal point of view，th e devil must be enclosed without being dispersed. The factors forming envionment consist not only of physical， chemical and biological， but also of verbal ones. The former is the 1st signal system and the latter is the 2nd system.' The 2nd is especially important in human beings. Both signals in the environment give the inf1uence to physical and psychological aspects. As for the mode of action，t he intensity，t ime duration and slope of the stimulus must be considered，while differential，in tegrative and proportional actions are mentioned in terms of technology. When the ref1ex arch is associated with the voluntary will，th e ref1ex becomes the response. By the accumulation of various responses，a daptation appears in a chronic course. When the response is not advantageous to the survival，t he adaptation syndrome or maladjustment appears. Thus the living material is sometimes led to a severe deterioration or death.
