However, the lava has been discovered on the high mountains, the ntensity of which is unusually several tenfolds larger than the ordinary value of the lava. In order to solve this fact, the writers have been engaged in studying the relations between the natural remanent magnetism and the thermo-remanent magnetism, taking the samples from the lava flow of Mt. Utsukushi-ga-hara. Collecting the samples which were continuously closed by each other in the same rock mass from the upper and the lower lava flow respectively, the writers measured both the directions and intensities of the natural and thermo-remanent magnetism of the samples in the same rock mass is not always uniform. However it also shows that the intensity of the thermo-remanent magnetism of the samples is almost constant. The writers discussed briefly about the causes of these results., Article, 信州大學紀要 (2): 1-7(1952)}, pages = {1--7}, title = {美ケ原熔岩の自然残留磁気について(序報)}, volume = {2}, year = {1952} }
