As one of the stiffness control method, the frequency of the tuning bar can be adjusted by changing the control current which flows the control coil attached close by the tuning bar. However, it is great mistake to expect, as is generally supposed, that when control current increases, the frequency decreases affected by the magnetization of control coil. The truth is that, in certain condition the frequency increases, while in other condition decreases. This phenomena is due to mainly the method of arrangement of polarities of magnetic coils and control coil.
