Since the Second World War was over, in our country the single phase running of three phase induction motor has been fashionable and the motor with unbalanced stator winding has come out. From this point of view, the research on them is necessary yet, the writer believes so and studied them. The contents of this paper are as follows. 1. Induction of the general equation of the motor with the unbalanced stator winding including the effect of the space higher harrmonics. 2. Manifestation of the fact that the torque due to the 3rd higher harmonics,the consideration of which is not necessary at the ordinary induction motor, is like that of single phase induction motor. 3. It is proved that although the torque of the 5th,11th,17th……higher harmonics is negative at the ordinary three phase starting, at the single phase starting this becomes positive within a certain scope of speed.Variation of torque due to higher harmonics is larger at the after than the before. 4. A simple formula is given to the group of leakage reactance,the part of which causes the synchironous torque. On the eqivalent circuit of motive impeadance this leakage reactance is distinguished from the other leakage reactance,and the effect of this reactance to the inductive torque becomes easy to understood.
