From proud Coriolanus' point of view, the plebeians are fickle and worthless, and this is shown emphatically through the disease and animal imagery. From the plebeian point of view, however, Coriolanus is haughty and must be isolated from Rome. His isolation or "solitariness" is vividly depicted by the use of the god imagery. The disease, animal or god imagery appears concentratedly in some Acts, where its use brings forth a remarkable effect.
