"Ta" is generally described in Japanese grammar as an auxiliary expressing jJast or perfect. So it is quite necessary to compare the past and perfect with the past tense and the perfect tense in such a foreign language as English, and to find out the similarities and dissimilarities between them. In this paper, the author firstly tries to describe the conjunctive system of "Ta" and other words having conjugations.
