 note = {The large and medium-sized mammalian fauna around the Institute of Nature Education in Shiga Heights, Shinshu University, in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, Japan was surveyed using camera traps from August to December 2016. Twenty cameras were set up within two plots and a total of 1802 days were spent camera-trapping. Eleven species of wild mammals were recorded by the cameras : Chiroptera spp., Muridae spp., Sciurus lis, Lepus brachyurus, Vulpes vulpes, Nyctereutes procyonoides, Martes melampus, Paguma larvata, Cervus nippon, Sus scrofa and Capricornis crispus.
