 note = {Shogakogen Guide Association staff surveyed the large and medium-sized mammalian fauna using camera traps within Shiga-highland Biosphere Reserve in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, Japan, from May to October 2016.Ten cameras were set up within five plots and a total of 915 days were spent camera-trapping. Eleven mammalian species were recorded by the cameras :Chiroptera spp., Macaca fuscata, Lepus brachyurus, Vulpes vulpes, Nyctereutes procyonoides, Ursus thibetanus, Martes melampus, Cervus nippon, Sus scrofa, Capricornis crispus, and Felis catus.
