False steps in making the wiring diagram were collected from 108 junior high school students and were analyzed qualitatively. Subsequently, students were divided into 3 groups and the effect of the instruction that was given to each group was inspected. The following were found:(1) There were almost no students who were able to make the wiring diagram of electric circuit without teacher's instruction.
